Focus on English if you want to go all the way. Classes alone aren't enough; look for information from many different sources. Your UX/UI knowledge has to be solid, and things move very fast overseas, so you always need to adapt.

Outstanding Alumni 2025
For my final project I tried making a game in Unity, since we had learned it in class. I teamed up with two friends who built the 3D models, and another friend from a different group gave me advice while I was coding. I was very lucky to have such good teammates, and our final project turned out beautifully.
Thank you to all the teachers who supported me, so that I could graduate from this program and go on to a real career.

Get your fundamentals solid and don't run away from math. It helps a lot when you have to build complex features, or when the tools you have don't do what you need.
Don't run away from English either; it's essential. At the very least you should be able to read it, because nearly all the knowledge in this field is in English. And get really good at Google: if you hit a problem and don't know how to search for answers, you're stuck.

Do a lot of self-study, because this field is mostly about research. Some things you can only find in forums where people in the industry talk shop.
The field is very broad. Some companies fold it into another department such as 3D or animation, while others give it its own department. For manager or coordinator roles, learn a bit of everything, so that when you discuss or assign work you communicate clearly, use the right terms, understand what each department needs and don't give the wrong instructions.
